Welcome to the website of The Fair Trade Shop .We are a small, independent, family-run business, situated in the residential area of Kennington in Ashford, Kent. We are dedicated to selling fair trade products. We stock a wide range of food, and crafts, including cards and jewellery. Please see the Products page for our full range.

We are members of The British Association of Fair Trade Shops www.bafts.org.uk

Parking is easy off-road in front of our shop. We accept all major debit and credit cards for payment. We also provide a Sale or Return service for churches or other groups who would like to hold a fair trade sale. Please contact us if we can help.

Why Fair Trade
Half the worlds population lives in poverty. Fair trade helps to lift these people out of poverty by their own efforts by ensuring a fair price is paid for their products. Each fair trade product sold helps in a small way to fight poverty through trade.

Selling to the fair trade market means producers can:

  • secure sustainable livelihoods-simply put, the farmers or artisans can feed their families.

  • provide schooling and healthcare for their families

  • fund community projects such as providing clean water supplies that benefit a whole community.
